MetaDrop

Data sharing agreement

Step 1 of 2

MetaDrop data sharing agreement By uploading a file through MetaDrop you confirm that you are authorised to share the file and any accompanying metadata with the receiving organisation. 1. Purpose Files and metadata submitted through this service are received for operational, archival, research, or administrative processing. The service stores the original filename, file contents, submitter details you provide, and any metadata you attach. 2. Accuracy and authority You are responsible for ensuring that: - the file is the correct version you intend to share; - any metadata is accurate to the best of your knowledge; - you have the right to submit the file and metadata; - the submission does not unlawfully include personal data, confidential material, or content you are not permitted to disclose. 3. Self-declared identity Any name or organisation you enter is self-declared and is not independently verified by MetaDrop. It is recorded with the submission for accountability and follow-up. 4. Storage and access Uploaded files are stored securely and are not publicly accessible. Access is limited to authorised administrators of this MetaDrop instance. Files may be downloaded, reviewed, retained, or deleted according to the receiving organisation's internal procedures. 5. Retention Submissions remain available until an authorised administrator deletes them, or until a retention policy configured for this instance requires removal. Request metadata such as upload time and technical request details may also be retained for audit purposes. 6. Prohibited content Do not upload malware, files intended to disrupt systems, or content that is unlawful to share. The receiving organisation may refuse, quarantine, or delete submissions that appear unsafe or incomplete. 7. Acceptance By checking the acceptance box and continuing, you confirm that you have read this agreement and accept these terms for the current upload session.
